Champagne Sales Reach Record 320 Million Bottles

Winemaking has gotten complicated with all the techniques and equipment flying around. As someone with extensive winemaking experience, I learned everything there is to know about crafting wine. Today, I will share it all with you.

Champagne houses reported record sales in 2025, surpassing 320 million bottles shipped worldwide for the first time in history. The milestone reflects sustained global demand for celebratory sparkling wine despite economic headwinds affecting other luxury goods.

The United States remains the top export market, accounting for nearly 20 percent of all Champagne sold outside France. Strong growth in Japan and emerging markets helped offset flat sales in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Smaller grower Champagne producers saw particularly strong gains, as consumers increasingly seek alternatives to major house brands. The trend toward artisanal and estate-bottled Champagnes shows no signs of slowing.
